Clarion Fair’s Got Talent returns for second year

The Clarion Fair’s Got Talent Competition that debuted at the 2017 Clarion County Fair will be returning for a second run on Sunday and Monday, July 22 and 23, 2018.

The Sunday preliminary event will include all participants who passed the initial audition. Those selected to proceed will then be featured in the Monday night finals.

Applications are now being accepted for the return of this popular event.

All types of talent are invited to participate including vocal, comedy, dance, magic, instrumental, pantomime or scenes from a play or movie.

Country singer Costan Cross of Seneca will be featured at 7 p.m. on the Monday, July 23 show with the competition to follow.

Last year’s first place finishers in each of the categories will perform as part of the 4 p.m. Sunday July 22 show. Qualified area judges will be used to adjudicate both events.

Participants will be divided into three age groups: Children up to and including 12 years old, youths from 13 to 18 years old and adults from 19 and older.

Prizes for the children’s division will be first-prize $100; second-prize $75 and third-prize is $50.

Prizes for the youth and adult divisions will be first-prize $300; second-prize $200 and third-prize is $100.
