O.C. police seeking help in search for chase suspects

From staff reports

Oil City police have issued arrest warrants for four people in connection with a stolen vehicle chase at about noon Monday on the North Side.

Asia Hall, 20, and Timothy Wolf, 20, both of Oil City, and Jordan Dodge, 20, of Franklin, are facing felony counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, in addition to a misdemeanor count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

A fourth individual, a black male, was observed in the stolen vehicle during the incident and will face identical charges, police said.

In addition, Hall is facing a felony count of fleeing or attempting to elude police, seven misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangering another person and eight summary traffic violation charges.

Police said the incident began as a traffic stop at the intersection of Glenview and East Bissell avenues.

Chief Bob Wenner observed Hall driving a Chrysler Sebring convertible and requested dispatch to run her driver’s license for status, police said.

Wenner was informed by another officer that Hall’s license was suspended, and he initiated a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Bissell, police said.

Hall initially pulled the vehicle off the roadway but sped off once Wenner began to exit his vehicle, police said.

Wenner was joined by other officers who engaged in a brief pursuit before the speeds reached an unsafe limit, and the chase was called off, police said.

Officers were then alerted to the vehicle being parked in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church lot, with the four individuals having fled on foot onto Route 8, police said.

Franklin state police, the Venango County sheriff’s department, Sugarcreek Borough police and Pennsylvania Waterways Conservation officers joined in a search near the Dollar General Store on Route 8, police said.

Officers conducted interviews with the vehicle owner, Linda Shaw of Oil City, who said her daughter had used the car and returned it to her home where Hall was visiting, police said.

Shaw’s daughter, Jessica Ludy, said Hall took the keys from the home and stole the vehicle from the driveway, police said.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the four individuals is asked to contact Oil City police at (814) 678-3080.
