Clarion Forest VNA plans holiday grief workshops

The Clarion Forest Visiting Nurse Association will host a workshop called Camp Holiday Hope from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18., at the VNA office at 271 Perkins Road in Clarion.

The workshop is designed for youths ages 5 to 17 who have experienced the death of a loved one.

The youths will learn helpful ways to remember their loved ones during the holiday season, according to a press release from the VNA.

A Handling the Holidays workshop for parents will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. the same day. Practical tools and helpful, healing ideas for coping during the holidays will also be offered at the parents’ meeting.

Pre-registration is required to attend both meetings, and applications are available at www.cfvna.org or by calling (814) 297-8360. The deadline is Nov. 10.

Similar Handling the Holidays workshops are scheduled from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the Perkins Road location in Clarion and from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at 156 Elm St. in Tionesta.

The same pre-registration options can be used.
