CLARION – The Clarion County Coalition for Suicide Prevention will hold its second annual suicide awareness walk Thursday, Sept. 8, at Clarion’s Veterans Memorial Park.
The event is being held during National Suicide Prevention Week. The walk is meant to promote awareness and provide prevention strategies to residents in Clarion County.
Registration for the walk will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the walk will start at 6:30. The walk will extend from the Clarion Veterans Memorial Park up Main Street, into the College and back down Main Street to end at the Park. A vigil will follow the walk to remember all of those who are affected by suicide.
A light dinner will be served during registration.
The registration fee for all ages is $20, which includes the cost of a T-shirt.
