Man gets up to 280 years for sexual abuse of child

From staff reports

Jefferson County District Attorney Jeff Burkett announced Enos Hershberger, formerly of Henderson Township, was declared as a sexually violent predator under Pennsylvania’s Megan’s Law and sentenced to 140 to 280 years in prison by the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas.

In May, Hershberger was found guilty of 169 charges stemming from the sexual abuse of a child over a period of four years, according to a news release from Burkett’s office.

The charges, the release said, included multiple counts of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, incest, and other related charges.
