Clarion Barbecue Festival set for this weekend

The Clarion Barbecue Festival Committee extends to the public an invitation to the fourth annual Clarion Barbecue Festival on May 17, 18 and 19 at the Clarion Mall.

The festival will feature the following events:

– A $500 raffle for an O’Neil Quality Foods’ roasted pig which will be fully cooked, dressed and prepared along with The Red River Roadhouse’s red roasted potatoes and macaroni and cheese will be available to win. There is a $5 fee per chance.

– The Clarion barbecue market place will be part of this event.

It will include vendors that sell barbecue related food and merchandise. It will feature Bell-View Food Company (displays and samples) along with local and regional non-barbecue vendors offering a variety of vendors for rubs, sauces, desserts, candies, and snacks for sale.

Additional vendors will be on hand including Wing Street from Pizza Hut and the Meadows Original Frozen Yogurt along with other great treats.

The sponsors and patrons for this event include: Butler Community Health System (cardiology and dermatology departments); Clarion Hospital Cancer Center; C93 Radio; Clarion Hospital Foundation; Clarion Mall Management: Clarion County Community Bank; Clarion Psychiatric Center; Marianne Pharmacy; PA Great Outdoors; state Rep. Donna Oberlander (R-63); and Microtel Inn by Wyndham.

There will be free admission to the grounds.

Organizers hope to see you on May 17, 18 and 19 at the Clarion Mall for great food, outstanding live entertainment, awesome chainsaw carvings, while you are helping the chosen beneficiaries of the Clarion Hospital Cancer Center and the Clarion Tippin scholarship fund.
