State police in Marienville said they are investigating a case of animal cruelty after a cat that was hit by a vehicle was later beaten to death by two juveniles in Forest County.
Police said two 17-year-olds were driving south on Route 36 in Tylersburg when a cat ran into the road and was accidentally hit by their vehicle.
The cat, which was still alive, was thrown into the bed of their truck and taken to a garage on Route 66 in Marienville, according to police.
The animal was tortured and killed while one juvenile recorded the incident, according to police.
