Rimersburg bridge replacement to start soon

A project to replace the Rimersburg Bridge on Cherry Run Road in Toby Township, Clarion County, is scheduled to begin later this month.

Work is expected to start May 28 and run through mid-July, and a 49-day detour will be in place, according to PennDOT.

To detour from the southern end of the closure, motorists will travel south for 1.1 miles on Cherry Run Road until they arrive at a stop sign, then turn left onto Route 68. Then they will travel on Route 68 for 3.4 miles and turn left onto Huey Road.

Motorists will then travel on Huey Road for 2.3 miles until arriving at a stop sign and turn left onto Cherry Run Road. Then they will travel on Cherry Run Road for 1.9 miles to the northern end of the closure.

Contractor Francis J. Palo Inc. of Clarion will be completing the $791,000 project.
