Civil rights lawyer to speak at Clarion

CLARION – Witold “Vic” Walczak will offer a presentation, “Voting Rights and Voter ID” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, in the Suites on Main Theater.

Walczak has worked as a civil rights lawyer for almost 30 years, handling many nationally significant cases. One such case is his work on Applewhite v. the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which overturned the state’s 2012 Voter ID Law.

Walczak, a graduate of Colgate University and Boston College Law School, is legal director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania and a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

This event is part of Clarion’s Mary Seifert Cultural Series and sponsored by the Clarion Young Democrats. It is free and open to the public.
