Young seamstress to the rescue

Olivia Tolbart knows the importance of lending a hand to others. She wanted to help local caregivers who are in need of cotton face masks; a national shortage of this crucial item amidst the COVID-19 crisis has resulted in many community members doing all they can to assist. Olivia started sewing her own masks using supplies purchased with her own money. She has worked many hours to produce over 100 masks of her own design. Olivia’s mother, Brandi Tolbart, is a rehab manager at Shippenville Healthcare & Rehabilitation. “I am so proud of my daughter,” Brandi said. “It is pretty awesome to have raised someone so special!” Thanks to Olivia and many others like her, local caregivers know that help during difficult times is never far away. Olivia’s masks are much appreciated at Shippenville Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
