Tamburitzans to perform at PennWest-Clarion

The Pittsburgh-based Tamburitzans folk dance and music ensemble will launch the 2024 programming of the endowed Clarion series of art and culture with a performance at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at the Marwick-Boyd Fine Arts Center at PennWest-Clarion.

The Tamburitzans, who have incorporated a wide variety of international folk dance and music for nearly 80 years, will lead the billing for the Mary L. Seifert Cultural Series, which was established to provide the university community with cultural experiences that inspire learning through thoughtful discussions.

The Tamburitzans’ performance, titled “Reflections”, is free and open to the public.

As part of their visit, the Tamburitzens will also perform at Clarion Elementary School.
