‘Stay as Dead as You Are’

The Clarion Community Theatre will put on performances of “Stay as Dead as You Are,” a mystery dinner theater, written by Lee Mueller, at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26-27, and at 1 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Knox American Legion. An additional set of performances are set for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9-10, and for 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Clarion Mall.

About the story
The Haldeman High School Class of 1988 reunites for an evening of food, music and reminiscing, and all is going well until the vice principal takes a yard jart to the head and the janitor disappears
down the sink drain.

The audience well gather clues and help Detective Mamet solve the heinous “yard jart” incident.

Clarion Community Theater cast members include Hannah Allison, of Clarion, playing Detective Mamet; Andrea Deible, of Knox, playing Babs; Jody Frazier, of Kossuth, playing Sharona Pinter; Pam Huffman, of Lamartine, playing Gabrielle “The Fox” Fatelle; Linda Lerch, of Miola, playing Vice Principal Schlepper; Kim Nichols, of Clarion, playing Ms. Sauerberger; Kim Pfaff, of Shippenville, playing Gertrude Magillicutty; Eddie Schmader, of Clarion, playing Melvin “Wedgie” Wedgewood; Rodney Sherman, of Salem, playing Clive Eggbert; Eric Sterner, of Shippenville, playing Marty “Bud” Budinski; Keegan Stewart, of Elmo, playing Guy Gleeson; and Steve Wozniak, of Clarion, playing Dick Alantra.

All proceeds from the shows will be used to help needy families with holiday food and other needs. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for ages 5-12. Ticket cost includes a catered dinner. Dinner reservations must be made at least one week prior to the show date. Limited non-dinner seats are also available.
