Rimersburg Halloween parade sponsored by Lions Club

The Rimersburg Lions Club will hold its annual Halloween parade on Thursday, Oct. 25, on Main Street in Rimersburg.

Participants will begin lining up for the parade at 6 p.m. at the Heeter Lumber Company parking lot on Main Street in Rimersburg. The parade, which will include the Union High School marching band, will begin at 6:30 p.m. and traverse down Main Street to the Rimersburg Community Building.

The judging of participants will take place at the Rimersburg Community Building. Costumed participants will vie for first, second and third place monetary prizes among the eight categories of floats, groups, prettiest, ugliest/ scariest, superheroes, most creative for ages 6 and younger and for ages 7 and older, and Union High School band members.

All participants in the parade will be given a Halloween candy treat provided by the Rimersburg Lions Club. In the past, more than 200 individuals, young and old, have participated in the parade.

In addition, Trick-or-Treat night has been set for Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Rimersburg from 6 to 8 p.m.
