Nine flags were placed on the lawn of the Clarion County Courthouse Aug. 24, each one to memorialize a fatality due to impaired driving in Clarion County over the last five years. The memorial service was attended by individuals from Armstrong Indiana Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission, Clarion County Board of Commissioners, Roads to Recovery, Clarion University White Deer Run Treatment Network, Clarion County Human Services, Clarion County Sheriff’s Office, Clarion County District Attorney’s Office, Clarion County Department of Public Safety, Pennsylvania state police, the Bureau of Liquor Control and Indiana University of Pennsylvania Institute for Rural Health and Safety.
