PennDOT berm and ditch work begins

From staff reports

PennDOT District 10 is announced this week Clarion County maintenance crews anticipate the beginning of shoulder grading and ditch cleaning operations.

PennDOT crews will be performing maintenance operations along 207 miles of state-maintained roadways in Clarion County.

Shoulder grading will be conducted in the southern portion of the County, below Interstate 80, as part of the cycle sectional maintenance four-year plan.

Ditch cleaning operations will occur along various routes countywide.

The shoulder grading operations remove excess soil and debris from unpaved shoulder areas to improve drainage and allow water to leave the roadway.
