Parker man waives hearing on burglary-related charges

 A Parker man who was found by police unloading stolen items during a burglary investigation earlier this month waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday in Venango County Central Court.

Joseph Everetts, 63, took items such as leaf blowers, a chainsaw and a weedeater from a shed in Scrubgrass Township, according to Franklin state police.

Everetts has been charged with felony counts of burglary and criminal trespass, misdemeanor counts of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, defiant trespass, criminal mischief and criminal trespass, and a summary count of driving with a suspended license.

He remains in the Venagno County jail on $85,000 bail.
