NWS: Snow and ice accumulations expected

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Venango, Clarion, Forest, Mercer and Jefferson Counties through 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Up to a tenth of an inch of ice is expected with 1-3 inches of snow. Freezing drizzle is possible early today with light snow starting early this afternoon. The period of most intense snow and ice is expected mid-afternoon to early evening. Precipitation will diminish and change to rain or light snow by Tuesday afternoon.

Hazardous travel conditions are expected due to snow, sleet and ice.
