Marienville Oktoberfest winners announced

With Mother Nature cooperating this past weekend, the Marienville Oktoberfest turned out to be a great success, according to the Marienville Area Civic Association.

To kick off the weekend, the Marienville Presbyterian Church hosted a vesper service with St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church and the Marienville United Methodist Church participating.

Home decorating winners are Teresa Wolfgang, Susie Carbaugh and Helen Bolen.  Business decorating winners are Marienville Library, Sto N Go Storage, Snyder Memorial and Northwest Bank.

Winners of the bike races are: Pre-K and kindergarten – Lewis Hacko and Bentley Hartle; first through third grades – Jayden Colvin, Brody Hartle, Vera Heferle; fourth through sixth grades – Thomas Rossey, Christina Micale, Angel Toth; seventh through ninth grades – Declan McLaughlin and Cattie Rossey; and grades 10 through adult – Ethan Byers and Christian Whisner.

Winners of the open tractor races are Tyler Ochs, Carl Hurrelbrink Jr. and Trey Bauer.  Stock tractors winners are Shawn Hurrelbrink, Jim Bell and Carl Hurrelbrink Sr.  Modified tractors winners include Carl Hurrelbrink Jr., Trey Bauer and Rodney McLaughlin.
