Knox Borough and Hunsberger Sanitation are hosting a Clean-Up Day on Friday, April 20 for Knox Borough residents.

Knox Borough Clean-Up Day is coming up fast it’s April 20 so get ready to get rid of all those things that you cannot, must not or should not just throw in the trash.

Be sure to put your trash out Thursday night as Hunsberger Sanitation will be by early Friday morning to accept just about everything except, florescent bulbs, CRT televisions and computer monitors and concrete.

Neither are household hazardous wastes, such as bleach, drain opener, paints, solvents, automotive fluids and pesticides.

Don’t take those things out you will only have to haul them back home again.

Electronic items such as CRTs are no longer accepted in landfills and will not be picked up by waste disposal services.

A few examples of items that will be accepted are furniture, betting, metal less than 8 feet in length and two tires per household.

Hunsberger Sanitation reserves the right to reject any items.

Anyone getting rid of appliances must schedule with Jay Hunsberger at (814) 221-1488.

In the past, Clean-Up Day was scheduled for Saturday morning but due to time constraints to have the trash delivered to Grove City by noon, Hunsberger moved this year’s trash day to Friday.
