Knight Cruisers host airport car show

From staff reports

A car show will be held to benefit Clarion Cancer Center Patient Care and Sunshine Fund. The car show will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at the Clarion airport located at 395 Airport Road, Shippenville.

Other activities include concession stands, raffles, and a Chinese auction. Children will enjoy games and tasty treats from the concession stands.

For thrill seekers, Jim Papke will be making a skydive jump from an airplane while holding an American flag, weather permitting. This dazzling event will demonstrate the patriot in all of us.

There will be dash plaques available for the first 100 vehicles entered into the car show. This event will be held rain or shine.

Admission is free for this event.

Last year, this event raised $32,000 in donations and this year there are hopes of exceeding that amount.

To make a donation, make checks payable to Knight Cruisers and mail checks to 3157 Shannondale Road, Mayport, Pa. 16240.
