Jury trials sought in drug death case

From staff reports

Three men charged in the 2018 drug delivery death of a Clarion man rejected plea deals Wednesday and opted for jury trials.

Aaron E. Johnson of Monroeville and Spencer Gene Rudolph joined co-defendant Joseph David Hoffman in their request for a jury trial.

The men were part of a drug ring charged last year with developing a network to bring fentanyl and heroin into northwest Pennsylvania.

Three others are accused in the case. They are William A. Fourness and Kasey M. Fourness (Eidinger), both of Ridgway, and Ryan Gleixner of St. Marys.

Johnson, Rudolph and Hoffman are scheduled for a pre-trail conference March 6.

The case stems from the Nov. 20, 2018, death of William “Billy” Stout, 36.
