Invasive species webinar and scavenger hunt set

From staff reports

The Clarion Conservation District invites the community to participate in Pennsylvania iMapInvasives’ 3rd annual Invasive Species Scavenger Hunt.

This two-part program will begin with a Zoom webinar training at 10 a.m. on July 28 through Pennsylvania iMapInvasives to learn about how you can help stop the spread of invasive species in our community through a mobile app called “iMapInvasives” available on the App Store and Google Play.

Register for the webinar by July 27 at www.paimapinvasives.org under 3rd Annual Invasive Species Scavenger Hunt.

The second-part of the program will be an Invasive Species Scavenger Hunt Community Hike from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1 at State Game Lands No. 63.

The hike will guide you through how to record invasive species using the iMapInvasives app. After the hike, you will be prepared to record species in your neighborhood as the scavenger hunt continues through the month of August.

Please have the “iMapInvasives Mobile” app downloaded to your device prior to the webinar training and hike.

Individuals must attend prerequisite webinar training on July 28 prior to attending the hike. If you cannot attend the webinar training and would like to participate, please contact Hannah Bequeath at the email address or phone number listed below.
