I-80 ramp closures scheduled in Clarion, Jefferson counties

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced ramp closures have been scheduled this weekend for milling and paving work on Interstate 80 in Clarion and Jefferson counties.

In Clarion County, exit 60: Shippenville eastbound on-ramp only will be closed Saturday, from 6 a.m. to midnight. To detour, take exit 53: Knox, Route 338, to Route 322 to Route 68.

In Jefferson County, exit 81: Hazen eastbound on- and off-ramps will close at 6 p.m. Friday.

Ramps will reopen by 1 a.m. Sunday. To detour, take exit 78: Brookville, follow Route 322 east to re-enter I-80 at exit 86, Reynoldsville.

The closures will be weather permitting.

IA Construction Co. Inc., of Franklin, is completing the $17 million project, which is anticipated to be completed in the fall.
