Farmington Twp. clean-up day set for May 14

Farmington Township supervisors have set “Clean-up Day” for 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at the township community park in Leeper.

The event is open to Farmington Township property owners only proof of eligibility might be requested.

Accepted for disposal will be heavy metals, scrap steel, old furniture, and other trash.

Metal items will be recycled and must be kept separate from trash.

Items NOT accepted include but are not limited to: tires, paint or other liquids, hazardous or medical waste, propane tanks, and electronics.

Refrigerators and air conditioners must have Freon removed prior to acceptance.

All items must be able to be unloaded by hand. Township personnel cannot dump loads.

The township reserves the right to refuse any items.

The event is sponsored by the Farmington Township Board of Supervisors.
