Donor to match funds given to trail association

The donations will be used for trail maintenance and improvements. Eight miles of the Sligo Spur remain to be improved along with reapplication of crushed limestone on some areas of the main trail, signage and other projects. Maintenance is an ongoing effort including the removal of fallen trees, cleaning of ditches, keeping drains open and controlling vegetation. Volunteers do much of the maintenance and improvement work, but funds are still needed for fuel, materials and equipment.

More information can be found on the RVTA Facebook page and website at www.redbankvalleytrails.org. Donations may be made on the website or by mailing or delivering a check to RVTA at the Northwest Savings Bank at 301 Broad Street, New Bethlehem, PA 16242. Donations will also be accepted by a trail representative from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Redbank Renaissance Arts and Crafts show at the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church.
