County Democrats open campaign headquarters

CLARION The Clarion County Democratic Party has opened its 2016 campaign headquarters at 15742 U.S. Route 322 East in Clarion.

The headquarters will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday or other hours by chance through Nov. 8. Anyone interested can stop in to learn more about local issues and Democratic candidates running for local, state, and federal offices. These people include:

  • Joe Billotte, state representative, Pennsylvania House District 63.
  • Kerith Strano Taylor, United States Congress, 5th District.
  • Josh Shapiro, Pennsylvania Attorney General.
  • Eugene DePasquale, Pennsylvania Auditor General.
  • Joe Torsella, Pennsylvania Treasurer
  • Katie McGinty, United States Senate.
  • Hillary Clinton, president.

Materials including yard signs, buttons, bumper stickers and literature will be available for some of the above candidates.

“For the past five presidential elections, we have operated a local headquarters, which provides a major benefit to voters in Clarion County,” said Bill Miller, chair of the Clarion County Democratic Party.

“This space unites us as a party toward a common goal. Remember as a voter, you don’t have to vote a straight party ticket. You can vote for who you think will best represent you and your neighbors on the issues that matter here at home.”
