How many birds can a team identify in one day, while staying within a 17 foot diameter circle?
That’s the challenge of The Big Sit- an annual event started by the New Haven Bird Club in 1992. Our own Seneca Rocks Audubon Society will hold a Big Sit on Saturday, May 4- a fun, relaxing day of birding and fellowship.
The Big Sit will take place at Maple Glen Farm located at 159 Moggey Road in Sligo. We start at sunrise but guests can come at any time through the afternoon. There will be indoor bathrooms, coffee, tea, light snacks and water. Visitors should feel free to bring refreshments to share. Bring binoculars if you have them, and a chair.
