Clarion School Board OKs budget

From staff reports

Clarion Area School Board this week unanimously approved a $14 million 2019-20 general fund budget with no new taxes.

The board also unanimously approved a three-year transportation contract with Paul Brown Busing.

The cost to the district in the first year of the contract will be $358,500 and will increase according to the Consumer Price Index for each of the remaining years.

The board approved the hiring of Scott Fox as the head varsity basketball coach at an annual salary $3,586.00.

A salary adjustment was approved for assistant football coach Dave Eggleton as his salary will increase from $3,064.00 to $4,433.00.

The adjustment takes into account Eggleton’s many years as a coach at Clarion-Limestone.

Clarion and Clarion-Limestone have formed a cooperative program for football.

A combined work session and board meeting will be held July 16.
