Clarion River Jam set for March 20-22

The 11th annual United Way of Clarion County Clarion River Jam bluegrass festival will be held March 20 through 22 at the Ramada by Wyndham in Clarion.

Jam sessions will be held all weekend long in addition to a competition at 10 a.m. with registration starting at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The fiddle, mandolin, guitar and banjo are the instruments designated for the competition. Prize money will be awarded to the top three contestants in each division of the competition.

There will also be concerts, vendors and Sunday morning gospel at the festival.

More than 20 bands are expected to play at the event. The festival is free and open to the public. For more information please call (814) 226-8760.

The event is made possible by the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts and Pennsylvania Great Outdoors and all proceeds benefit the United Way of Clarion County.
