Clarion County recycling day set June 5

Clarion County’s first recycling day for 2021 will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at the Clarion County Park near Shippenville.

Anyone bringing electronics, household hazardous waste, and universal waste items must pre-register. Items that are not emptied and cleaned won’t be accepted, and items not listed as acceptable will be refused.

The event is open to residents and small businesses with fewer than 50 employees.

Items that don’t need to be separated include paper, plastic, metal, and glass with certain restrictions.

Also accepted will be white goods, washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves with no freon, and any scrap metal items.
