Clarion Co. bridge project to get state funds

From staff reports

A Clarion County bridge project was one of 45 highway, bridge, bike and pedestrian, and ports and waterways projects that will benefit from PennDOT’s Multimodal Transportation Fund.

The funding was announced Thursday in a press release from Gov. Tom Wolf’s office.

The approved Clarion County project is for Millcreek Township and involves $157,500 for replacement of Asbury Bridge, a structurally deficient/weight limited bridge that currently restricts emergency, commercial, and recreational vehicles from utilizing a key portion of both Clarion and Millcreek townships.
