Autumn Leaf Festival cruise-in, kids parade winners announced

Winners of two of Autumn Leaf Festival’s biggest events have been announced by the Clarion Area Chamber of Business and Industry.

The Autorama Cruise-In, which took place Sunday, brought in nearly 400 vehicles despite the early-morning rain.

The cars, trucks and novelty vehicles lined both sides and down the middle of Main Street.

The Best of Show, Committee Choice, was awarded to Joe Crawford of Polk with his 1952 Ford Coupe. The Best of Show, Chairman’s Choice, was won by Ron Leshock of Mayport with his 1926 Franklin Sedan.

Winners have also been announced for the Kiddies Parade that was held Wednesday after being delayed a day due to hazardous weather in the area.

JeffersonClarion Head Start took home the top prize in both the costume and float category.

Hope and Sophia and Friends did the same with second place while The Griffin Family was awarded third place in best costume and 10.0 Gymnastics took third for best float.

The three winning floats will join the lineup for the 65th Tournament of Leaves Parade which steps off at noon Saturday.
