Above flood stage

Rain continues to fall in Western Pennsylvania and the saturated ground simply couldn’t soak any up June 21, the first day of Summer 2019. All that water found its way to the Clarion River. Flood stage is considered around 13 feet. High water carrying a lot of debris was between 14.9 and 15 feet when these photographs were taken. While debris shown at the Cooksburg Bridge is an obvious hazard, people should avoid wading in flood water as it is contaminated with sewage and any manner of other nasty things. The water did drop back near normal June 22 but boaters and other users of the river should beware of hazards floating on and under the water. (Submitted photo)
