Clarion County Airport to host Fly-in

Clarion County Airport will host a fly-in rain or shine from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at the airport in Shippenville.

The airplane fly-in begins at noon with the first 100 cars of the Knight Cruisers cruise-in receiving dash plaques.

Come see the C-54 “Spirit of Freedom,” the Douglas C-47B Skytrain “Luck of the Irish,” and the Fairchild C-123K provider “Thunderpig” among many other types of airplanes and helicopters that will be at the event.

Activities at the event include helicopter rides, airplane rides, music by the Legends band, games for children, Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle. You will also want to taste the variety of different food stands that will be in attendance.

At this planned occasion, no pets are allowed.

There is no fee to attend; donations are accepted with proceeds benefiting Clarion County Cancer Center Patient Care and Sunshine fund.
