Long-time area business Zacherl Motors International donated $5,000 to the campaign to build a new full-service Clarion County YMCA.

Zacherl Motors is a supporter of education programs in the area and received the Education Partner of the Year Award from the Clarion Chamber of Business and Industry.

Pat Kahle, president of Zacherl Motors also volunteers as a flag football official for the Clarion County YMCA and is well aware of the variety of programs available at the facility. Zacherl Motors celebrated its 75th year in business in 2015.

The campaign has generated $7.5 million in gifts from community members and businesses and a $3 million Pennsylvania Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant.

An official groundbreaking is being planned for 2017 and completion of the project is expected within approximately 12 to 15 months from groundbreaking.

The YMCA is still accepting contributions; for more information about the campaign, contact Cindy Nave, campaign communications coordinator at (814) 226-9722 or at clarioncountyymca.org
