Work is continuing on Marienville trail

From staff reports

Volunteers for the Marienville 4 Seasons Trail have been installing gates and stop signs on the road crossings at Route 66, Route 899 and Muzzette Road.

There are still gates, mile markers and signage that needs to be purchased and installed at the Marienville Trail, which is a non-motorized path for bikers and walkers.

Trail maintenance and improvements such as rest areas and possibly a small shelter from inclement weather, mile markers, additional gates and stop signs, a trail mower, weed whacker and leaf blower, along with bike racks and benches, are all still needed.

Donations toward the purchase of these items will be accepted. People who are interested in contributing toward this work may call (814) 927-8218.
