Virtual plans for Salem Township bridge to be on display

From staff reports

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, beginning May 3, invites the public to view plans regarding the bridge replacement project of Pilgrimham Bridge No. 1, which carries Route 208 over Turkey Run in Salem Township, Clarion County.

The purpose of the virtual plans display is to share preliminary information on the project’s status, schedule, design and right-of-way acquisition, according to a PennDOT news release. PennDOT representatives along with design consultants will be available to answer questions.

Construction of the project is anticipated for summer of 2026 and will have a 10-day detour, PennDOT said. The estimated construction cost is approximately up to $2 million.

The online presentation will outline and explain the proposed plans and schedule for the project.

To access the web page, visit www.PennDOT.gov/District10, click on the Public Meetings link under the District Links heading, pick the Clarion County box, and then choose Pilgrimham Bridge project tile. The presentation will be available from May 3 to 17.
