New Hope Church

New Hope Church is holding an Easter Eggstravaganza from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 16 at the church located at 15952 U.S. Route 322 in Clarion.

Come and enjoy an Easter egg hunt for children up to 12 years old. Children will be divided into age groups for the egg hunt.

Bring your children ready for a free photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. There will also be fun games to play and prizes for children to win.

Hot dogs, chips, cupcakes, and drinks will be provided free of charge for everyone.

In case of inclement weather, all activities will be held in the building.

This is a community event for the entire family. Everyone is welcome to participate in the fun. Don’t forget to bring your Easter basket.

Seneca United Methodist Church

Seneca United Methodist Church will hold a sunrise service at 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 17 at the church located at 196 East State Road in Seneca.

An early morning breakfast will be served just after the first service. The second service will take place at 10 a.m.

Trinity E.C. Church

Trinity E.C. Church has scheduled the following services and events for the upcoming Easter season: a community communion service at 7 p.m. Good Friday, April 15; a community Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16; and an Easter Sunday celebration service at 10 a.m. with donuts and coffee served at 9 a.m. All events will be held at the church located at 699 Golf Course Road in Kossuth.

Old Zion United Methodist Church

Dan Schall will perform at the 6:30 a.m. Easter sunrise service, Sunday, April 17, at the Old Zion United Methodist Church located 1792 West Home Road in Emlenton.

Schall stutters when he speaks, but the Lord granted him with a singing voice of praise to share the Lord’s word through music. He and his wife, Linda, travel throughout the United States giving concerts and telling of God’s love. Through his concerts, he is able to reach out to help others realize what God has given them.

The church invites everyone to attend the concert as well as the “Son”rise service of Easter. Come and enjoy the service through song.

The concert is free and a free-will offering will be received. Following the concert, everyone is invited to the basement of the church to enjoy a full breakfast.

Salem Community Egg Hunt

Grab your basket or bucket and join the community at the annual Salem community egg hunt starting at 10 a.m. (running until all prize eggs have been found) on Saturday, April 16. The egg hunt will take place at the Salem Community Complex beside the Community Building.

Ages allowed to participate in hunt start at children able to walk and continue through children in sixth grade. The group will be divided in half and each group will have three prize eggs hidden in their area.

Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends are encouraged to come and watch but are asked to stand on the driveway to allow children hunting eggs to look and find. Hunters will be helped by assigned 4-H members to make sure everyone gets some eggs.

The hunt is sponsored by the Dehart, Rossman, Wenner American Legion Auxiliary, the Dehart, Rossman, Wenner American Legion Post 997, and the Salem Township Supervisors. They are assisted by Venango’s Edge 4-H members.

Anyone wanting to donate to the hunt is asked to bring candy, plastic eggs, etc. to the building by 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 16.
