Two hurt in Farmington Twp. crash

Two people suffered minor injuries in a crash about 9 a.m. Thursday on Route 36 in Farmington Township, Clarion County.

Marienville state police said Yongxuan Tian, 20, of Erie, was driving her BMW X5 at a high speed and passing multiple vehicles in a no passing zone when she lost control of the vehicle at a sharp left turn.

The vehicle struck an embankment, became airborne, traveled about 130 feet through a mud parking lot and struck a pile of wood logs before overturning, police said.

Tian and her passenger, Yangxi Wang, 19, also of Erie, suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said.

Farmington Township volunteer firefighters and Shippenville Elk EMS personnel assisted at the scene.
