CLARION – Work will continue on the Route 68 Clarion Curve project this week.

Daytime, single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers will be in place each day between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. between Interstate 80, exit 62 and U.S. Route 322.

Delays along the route this week sometimes ran as long as 15 to 20 minutes.

Utility and prep work has been underway on this project since it began in the fall of 2014.

The roadway work began last week.

This safety improvement project includes curve flattening, addition of a center turn lane, and drainage improvements.

Motorists are advised to slow down and pay attention to flaggers and traffic control devices in the work zone.

Be patient and give yourself extra time for your travels as congestion and delays are possible.

Drive responsibly in the work zone for your safety and the safety of the workers.

This $3.8 million safety improvement project is being constructed by Francis J. Palo, and is expected to be completed in September 2016.
