From staff reports
The annual Strattanville Homecoming celebration will be held Friday through Sunday, Sept. 11-13.
A scaled-back version of the annual celebration will include a fireworks display with a DJ at the parking lot of SMI on Friday, Sept. 11. “This will allow for social distancing and a great view of the fireworks,” said Jessica Bracken, president of the group organizing the event.
A chicken barbecue will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Strattanville fire hall. This will be a takeout-only event.
A Chinese auction will be held with items donated by local businesses and community members. Food and drinks will be available at the fire hall.
A car show will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, along Washington Street.
Masks should be worn by those who attend the events, and social distancing as mandated by the state will be required.
