SCI Forest to hold job fair

The state Department of Corrections (DOC) will host a job fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at SCI Forest, with the goal of filling dozens of positions for employment at that facility.

SCI Forest is hiring for positions in clerical, accounting and security, as well as food service instructors, licensed practical nurses, registered nurses and social workers.

Onsite interviews will take place on the day of the event for corrections officer trainees, RNs and LPNs. Attendees are asked to bring two forms of identification.

No appointment or registration is required, but attendees might have to pass through a security screening to enter the facility. No drugs or weapons are allowed on the property. Attendees are encouraged to apply to positions online prior to arrival.
