Registration open for Clarion Rotary auction

From staff reports

Registration is open for the annual Clarion Rotary Community Auction, an eBay-style online auction that starts at 6 a.m. March 18 and runs for four days at clarionrotary.com.

Items and gift cards donated by local businesses will be auctioned. Proceeds will fund Clarion Rotary Club initiatives.

Nearly 400 items will be auctioned, and hundreds of items will close each day of the auction.

Bidders don’t need a credit card to bid online. They may use cash, check or credit card to pay for goods on pick-up day, which is scheduled March 23 at the Clarion Area Chamber of Business & Industry.

Funds will be used to support students in the form of five academic and civic-related scholarships and multiple leadership academies, according to Jarred Heuer, co-chair of the Rotary auction committee. Some of the money helps build and support local community resources, such as the Clarion Hospital Cancer Center, the YMCA and Second Avenue Park.

Pre-registration and feature photos with descriptions of items will be available Monday at clarionrotary.com.

Inquiries may be sent to clarionrotarycommunityauction@gmail.com.
