Rally in support of reproductive care set

From staff reports

Indivisible We Rise will host a march and rally in support of reproductive care from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday in front of the Clarion County Courthouse.

The focus will be on the Mifepristone case, of which the U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments about, according to an Indivisible We Rise news release.

The case is about limiting access to Mifepristone, a medication used in most first trimester abortions, which is currently approved for use up to 10 weeks by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the release said. The court has rolled that approval back to seven weeks.

The event also will address the Life At Conception Act, which includes language that would affect in vitro fertilization treatments, the release said.

More rallies will be scheduled in the months ahead, according to the release, which will focus on legislation that focuses on various reproductive issues.
