From staff reports
Jefferson-Clarion Head Start has received funding to open a new PA Pre-K Counts classroom in collaboration with the Clarion-Limestone School District.
The new classroom in the C-L district will provide preschool services to 15 children ages 3 and 4, beginning this school year.
Transportation will be provided by the school district for any 4-year-old children enrolled, however, children 3 years of age must be transported by a parent or guardian.
Families whose income is 100 percent to 300 percent above the federal poverty guidelines – or a family of four earning less than $72,000 a year – are eligible to receive free Pre-K Counts services. Other factors may be used to determine priorities for selection in the program.
The Jefferson-Clarion Pre-K Counts Program is funded by the PA Office of Child Development and Early Learning.
