It was a great day for ducks with rain pouring down, so there was no reason to postpone the Mill Creek Coalition’s Rubber Duck Race April 29. Spectators simply huddled under umbrellas on the Dean Dam Bridge on the Fisher Road to watch the ducks cross the finish line. The coalition has reduced acid mine pollution in much of the stream and is now focusing on still-polluted Little Mill Creek and other tributaries. (By Tom DiStefano)
