Marienville snowmobile club purchases groomer

The 2002 BR 180 Bombardier features an 18-foot drag and will be on display from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the MACA Building in Marienville.

The Marienville Trail Rider Snowmobile Club has purchased a new trail groomer with the help of a Northwest Commission, Greenways Block Grant. The funding was secured with the help from U.S. Rep. Glenn “G.T.” Thompson and Sue Smith, Regional Planning Manager for Northwest Commission

The 2002 BR 180 Bombardier features an 18-foot drag and will be on display from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the MACA Building in Marienville.

Several officials are scheduled to attend the unveiling.

Marienville Trail Riders Snowmobile club applications and apparel order forms will be available. Refreshments will be served free of charge. Donations will be accepted to cover future equipment needs.

The club said although this season lacked snow, the club believes it was an exception and that next year the season will be back to normal.

The Trail Riders are looking forward to the use of this equipment on the trails next year and feels sure that the trails will be much smoother, the club said.
