Investigators determine fire set intentionally

After an investigation of a fire at the old Porter Elementary School, the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and the New Bethlehem Fire Department have determined that it was set intentionally.

The fire at 1195 Rockville Road in Porter Township caused $5,000 in damage because of prior damage to the building, state police in Ridgway said.
Clarion County Hospital Ambulance and Rimersburg, Distant, Hawthorn and Limestone fire departments assisted at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
