Goodwill store opens in new location

Participating in the ribbon cutting ceremony at the April 15 opening of the new Goodwill Store in Monroe Township were (from left) state Rep. Donna Oberlander, Clarion County Commissioner Wayne Brosius, Joyce Preston, store manager, Goodwill CEO Ray Donati, state Sen. Scott Hutchinson, Jessica Illuzzi, Goodwill social media and public relations coordinator, Tracy Becker, Clarion Area Chamber of Business and Industry executive director, and Tom Glasl, Goodwill CFO.

They celebrated their new location by giving away a $10 gift card every 15 minutes during a live broadcast with Mega Rock.

The new location employs 14 people and includes a store, processing center and donation location.

Donations can be taken to the back of the store during store hours where an employee will help unload donation from vehicles and offer a tax receipt.

The attended donation center in the Trader Horn parking lot is still open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 pm. Sunday.

Store hours will remain at 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Goodwill’s mission statement is “meeting life challenges through opportunity, education, training and work.”

From every dollar earned from donations, 90 percent goes toward the support of their mission and services.
