Food items can be dropped off at Clarion Blessing Box

From staff reports

A Blessing Box where non-perishable food items can be placed has been installed at First Presbyterian Church at 700 Wood St. in Clarion.

Anyone in the Clarion community who is in need of food may help themselves to food in the box. The concept is similar to a little library.

Blessing Boxes can be found nationwide as part of a movement to help solve food insecurity.

Tionesta Builders donated the materials for the box, and Johnny On The Spot Handyman Services & Contracting built and installed the box.

People who have unexpired non-perishable food or hygiene and cleaning items can drop off the items at the box.

If someone would like to donate food items and are unable to place them in the box, they can email jsgriebel@gmail.com to make arrangements.

And if someone would like to donate funds to help replenish the Blessing Box, they can send a check to First Presbyterian Church, 700 Wood St., Clarion, 16214, and put “Blessing Box” on the memo line.

Anyone with questions can contact Jacqueline Griebel at (814) 657-5728.
